Not sure what to do with your Halloween this year? We want to extend a horrifyingly, exciting invitation to make your own Horror Movie!! Introducing, Screams in A Box Film Competition and Festival!!
SPFX KIDS have partnered with FILM CAMP IN A BOX and The George A Romero Foundation (George A Romero was the director of Night of the Living Dead, Creepshow among other films) to curate a horror film competition box that includes;
1. Use of advanced Film making equipment, including a content loaded MacBook, boom mic, green screen, tripod and HD camera,
2. Special horror themed production guides and content
3. Special effects materials and tutorials from SPFX KIDS
4. Mystery props to be included in the film
4. Exclusive prizing for top films
5. Online film festival
6. 3 hrs of on-line filmmaking instruction from FILM CAMP IN A BOX
7. Panel of celebrity judges including Caitlin Cronenberg (Celebrity Photographer and Director), Peter Spierig, of The Spierig Brothers (Predestination, Daybreakers, Winchester & Jigsaw), Sonia Hong (Director and Production Designer) with more to be announced!
The fee for the 48 hour horror film challenge is $150.00, including home delivery and pick up. We are limiting registration to 75 film crews. PLEASE NOTE: You must live in the GTHA and be between the ages of 9-16 years old to participate.
